Harrogate
Visitors have flocked to the historic spa town of Harrogate ever since the medicinal waters were discovered here. Today, as one of Britain’s most attractive towns it is the perfect cultural and tourist destination for groups.
This beautiful floral town is surrounded by celebrated destinations including the historic city of Ripon, dominated by the magnificent Cathedral and market place where the Hornblower ‘sets the watch’ nightly continuing a custom which has been carried out for over 1100 years.
The medieval city of York, Harewood House, Newby Hall and the delightful Yorkshire Dales featuring Fountains Abbey and Brimham Rocks all provide more delights and diversions just waiting to be discovered.
The town of Harrogate has played host to this exciting annual event and is delighted to be welcoming the Festival in its fourth decade. Many international groups return to the event year after year – a true indication of the place the Harrogate International Youth Festival of Performing Arts holds in many people’s hearts.
