Harrogate Arrival
|
- Arrive in the cultural spa town of Harrogate and travel to your accommodation
- Group Leaders are welcomed to Harrogate by The Mayor at a Civic Reception

Day 2
|
Harrogate Festival
|
- Meet all other festival participants as you take part in a massed festival photograph
- Take part in an outdoor performance in Harrogate Town Centre
- Rehearse for and perform on stage at The Royal Hall in The HIYF Grand Opening Concert
|
|
Day 3 Easter Sunday
|
Harrogate Festival
|
- Perform at an Easter service in a local Harrogate Church and take part in an afternoon performance at Newby Hall
- Jazz and swing bands take part in a Jazz performance and master class
- Get to know your fellow participants and local performers at a Disco
|
|
Day 4 Easter Monday
|
York Sightseeing and community performance
|
- Visit the historic cathedral city of York and enjoy some free time to explore the city’s Roman Walls
- Travel back to Harrogate and rehearse for an evening community performance with another participating group at a local Church
|
|
Day 5
|
Harrogate Festival
|
- Enjoy an outdoor performance surrounded by the stunning ruins of Fountains Abbey
- Travel to Ripon to rehearse for evening performances
- Take part in a festival highlight – Massed orchestra and choir performances at Ripon Cathedral
|
|
Day 6
|
Harrogate Festival
|
- Join other participating bands in rehearsal for an evening performance
- Perform at local outdoor venues in Harrogate
- Take part in the Finale Concert at The Royal Hall featuring international and massed band performances
|
|
Day 7
|
Harrogate Departure
|
- Say goodbye to your new friends in Harrogate and depart for home or continue on the rest of your programme
