Förderkreis der Jugendblaskapelle der Volkshochschule Schwandorf e.V.
41 musicians make up this stunning youth orchestra who have had links with HIYF for many years and are proudly associated closely with one of the local groups, Tewit Youth Band. Schwandorf performed in and around Harrogate with particular highlights including their performance at Fountain’s Abbey where the public came from far and wide to enjoy their repertoire, including traditional Bavarian marching music. A stunning Xylophone solo piece opened their Harrogate performances at the Royal Hall on the first night – ‘Notes from Around The World’ – where international and local groups performed for each other for the first time.

Bernhard Schuierer brought his experience of directing a large orchestra for 20 years, an Alumnus himself rising up its own ranks.
